A deep dive into your own healing.

A medicine journey can illuminate places where you are stuck in your life and show you the origins of your patterns. By bringing them into your awareness, old traumas can heal and patterns that no longer serve you can shift. It offers you a chance to experience yourself and your life story from a new, expanded perspective.
A journey is similar to deep meditation or any practice which cultivates insight, revelation, or mystical experience. It enables us to see the larger picture and understand the deeper meaning of life. It often shows us our greater purpose and gives direct guidance about where and how to act in the world.
Journeying in this way can be challenging. You may feel some discomfort and become disoriented. These are temporary states that will pass. And going through these difficult moments is often when the deepest growth occurs.
The journey is also full of joy and light. It shows us how to heal with immense love and playfulness. We remember how to laugh and see the magnificence of ourselves and our surroundings.
Medicine Journeys at Stillwater Landing
in Panton, VT
Your Journey
Miles’ guidance begins with a private phone session prior to your retreat to begin preparing and setting intentions. Your journey day starts with a meditation session followed by a private meeting to clarify your intentions, yearnings, and questions.
We begin the journey with a simple ceremony in the main house by the lake. Then you are encouraged to lie down in your own private room or bed, next to a shared bathroom. You can choose to cover your eyes or not, and you are free to go outside and wander in nature if that calls to you.
During the journey Miles will sit with you or in the next room, and accompany you outdoors if you so choose. You can engage with Miles anytime that you want support, encouragement, guidance, or perspective.
Miles will also play different musical instruments to help create a magical, sacred space for your journey, including drums, flute, mbira, bells, xylophone, hand pan, guitar and voice. Hot herbal tea, water, and light snacks will be available in the kitchen.
As your journey winds down, you can choose between a hot tub with massage jets, or a wood-fired sauna by the lake. If you are staying here at Stillwater Landing, you can end your day with an evening campfire.
Miles’ guidance ends with a private session in person or by phone a day or two after your journey. This is a chance to review your experience and clarify any insights, directions, or visions that you received.
Journeys are available April – October and are usually part of a two-night solo retreat at Stillwater Landing which includes lodging in our beautiful tiny home by the lake.
